- The beautiful Odense, the home turf of Umbraco HQ:
Odense is the third biggest city in Denmark. Probably most well-known worldwide as the birthplace of the renowned fairy-tale author, Hans Christian Andersen. And to Umbracians, of course, Umbraco and Codegarden.
- Getting from the airport to Odense:
For planning your trip to Odense you can view the train schedules on Rejsplanen. Please be aware that during the period of Codegarden, if you are traveling from Copenhagen Airport to Odense, the trains will run fewer times and take a little longer than usual due to railway work. If you are traveling by train in the late evenings/night you might experience having to go on a "Togbus" (train-bus)... It's just a regular bus that works as a replacement for the train on a certain stretch. No need to buy extra tickets to go on this bus as long as you've got your train ticket. Also, you are not allowed to bring your bike 🤷
And here's a helpful video on how to get to Odense from Copenhagen Airport.
Going by bus from Copenhagen Airport to Odense is also an option. Find the details on Flixbus - if you end up at Ørbækvej in Odense, we recommend you take a taxi or a city bus to your hotel as it's a bit of a walk otherwise.
Safe travels!
